Zoë Jorgenson
Bassist, composer, educator.
Zoë’s primary group, “olo,” explores personal tragedy and grief as much as the trivial and everyday. The trio uses processed field recordings and a conversational playing style, emanating lush and at times haunting textures. olo is actively working on their debut album with releases anticipated for later in 2026. The ensemble features Parker Speirs on guitar and Marty Risemberg on drums, with Zoë on bass and vocals.
olo has been featured at the Kennedy Center, the Ted X DC conference, My Body My Festival DC, the Washington Women in Jazz Festival, Strathmore as part of Zoë’s artist residency, and much more.
